14 carat gold filled “Waltham ” pocket watch manufactured in the 1920s. The watch is in good condition, presents well, runs strongly and on test kept time. As with all of my watches, authenticity is backed by a full money refund guarantee. Dial : in good original condition with hours marked by black Arabic numerals. The elegant hands are made of blued steel. The acrylic crystal, which is a replacement, is clean and clear. Case : 14 carat gold filled measuring approximately 42 mm in diameter. The inside of the cover is marked "Radio 14 Kt Gold Filled Warranted 20 Years" which denotes gold fill i.e. substantial sheets of solid gold gold plates bonded to a base metal, often silver or brass. The case shows no signs of abuse, dents or significant scratches. On close inspection there is evidence of brassing from use to the bow and edges of the case. Movement : Waltham signed 15 jewelled movement, marked "American Waltham Watch Co,” Wound and set by crown, the watch is currently running and keeping time but due to its age I provide no warranty as to time keeping. I will send this watch to anywhere in the world carefully packed. Overseas buyers should bear in mind that import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or P&P charges. The charge for watches sold for £500 or less will be 13.95 GBP by Royal Mail International Signed For. This provides a maximum insurance value of up to 500 GBP subject to Royal Mail conditions. If you are purchasing an item at a price above £500 and pay using Paypal I must observe their rules by sending the watch by courier. In order to receive their protection service, Paypal requires me to send the watch to you with full on line tracking and a signature on delivery. Therefore I have to use a courier service, as Royal Mail either provides full on line tracking (Airsure) or obtains a signature on delivery (International Signed For) but unfortunately not both. The cost of using the courier service is 45-£50 GBP to most countries but I will shoulder part of the cost and charge you just 29.95 GBP. If you wish me to send the watch to by Royal Mail International Signed For at a cost of 13.95 GBP and you accept that insurance will be limited to 500 GBP I can at your request do so if you pay by direct bank to bank transfer.
