About Hirotasan: This time I am introducing a special makie artist Hirota san. She is a highly skilled makie artist in Japan. She has made enormous makie designs. This how I landed up to Hirotasans place. She lives in an isolated place on the outskirts of the Fukuoka ken. Her place is very hard to reach. I decided to explore her place and the marvelous makie. I reached her house, which was a traditional Japanese house with the all wooden furniture and wooden doors. A typical small Japanese garden in front of her house made a very pleasant welcoming. There on the door I saw middle aged women with slight wrinkles on her which gave the image of her longed experience and age. Entering her house, I was astonished to see her different makie piece of art. I was mesmerized by her marvelous art. She arranged a cup of green tea with some sweets. Taking every sip of the green tea I was listening to the wonderful childhood stories of Hirota and her makie passion. It was nice to hear that each and every word from such an erudite. My mind was full of curiosity of the makie designs she made. I started looking each and every makie design made by Hirota san which she explained me in detail about its structure, formation, different reasons she chose to make these makie designs. I was taken aback by her specialty of this art. She told me that she learned this makie technique from an expert old makie artist from Showa period. He taught her each and every lesson in it. Her master was very strict and very shrewd while making makie designs.
