Publised in Hexham and printed at the Herald Office in 1879, this is a very good, and quite scarce Enlarged Second Edition of 'Wanny Blossoms' by James Armstrong, with a Preface dated 30th May, 1879, Ridsdale, and includes a 'Treatise on fishing, and several new subjects, including Songs, Fishing, Fox & Otter Hunting, and other sports & Pastimes'. The book is presented in green buckram, with gilt detail and titling to the cover,and shows wear in the form of rubbing and some minor bumping to corners, but is otherwise solidly bound and very attractive in a very simple way. Internally, the book is pretty much spotless, except for the odd light mark, and with only a minor gauze strengthening the front inner brown fly-page, and what looks like some small nibbling to the back one, and even less to the final page as photographed. The book is overall an excellent little copy of a rare and lovely variation of subjects, and is mainly done in verse and prose.
