Offered here is an excellent and accurate example of a reproduction War of 1812 period US Army Lherbette pattern infantry light pack/knapsack. This example has been recreated to exacting specifications of originality in construction and materials. This design was used as a lighter pack than that designed for the much heavier blanket roll and overcoat. The straps and construction suggested a field use for light rather than heavy marching. The exterior is made of heavy cotton duck canvas and both the top and bottom front have been painted for waterproofing. The US logo has been painted directly to the exterior. The interior construction is a lighter cotton duck with compartmentalized provisions. The strapping is the distictive assembly of leather and wooden toggles found on all Lherbette pattern packs. All buckles and snaps are period correct. I only accept payment through PayPal unless prior arrangements are made before you bid. Shipping costs shown are for domestic US Priority Mail delivery. International delivery will cost more so please contact me if you need a shipping quote. I ship overseas by US International Priority Mail. It is reliable and has tracking which protects the buyer and the seller. Please feel free to ask any questions.
