Edited by Christopher Tolkein.Dustjacket with the original price of £25 printed on the jacket; The eleventh volume in J. R. R. Tolkien's "History of Middle Earth". It is the second volume, Morgoth's Ring being the first, to explore the later 1951 Silmarillion drafts and includes an expanded account of the "Grey Annals", the history of Beleriand after the coming of the Elves; additional narratives involving Húrin and the tragedy of his children (see Narn I Chîn Húrin) ; "the Wanderings of Húrin", the conclusion to the "Narn"; Christopher Tolkien's explanation of how he constructed Chapter 22 of the Silmarillion; "Quendi and Eldar"; and Tolkien's exploration of the origins of the Ents and the great Eagles; The History of Middle-Earth; Vol. 11. Condition: Both book and dust jacket in near fine condition. No staining of marking only the slightest wear, looks like it hardly been touched.
