From a private collection (smoke free environment), this130-volume set, The War of the Rebellion: Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies , published in 1971 by the National Historical Society contains the original text in its original format which was published in 1889 in Washington DC by the Government Printing Office. These volumes are all in excellent, basically unused condition with black cloth cover, gold titles on spine, tight bindings (sewn), clean white pages, and no marks or stamps or stickers of any kind. A wonderful research resource!This listing consists of the 3 volumes that deal with the Richmond Campaign, Fort Fisher, NC, and the Appomattox Campaign. These are Series I, Vol. 46, serial numbers 95, 96, and 97, reports and correspondence covering operations in northern and southeastern Virginia, North Carolina (Jan. 1-31, 1865), West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, Jan. 1 - June 30, 1865. I have the entire 130 volume set and will be listing it piecemeal, so please check my other listings! I have also listed many other books from this same private collection.
