WARHIA TETSU LAMINATED DAMASCUS STEEL SAMURAI KATANA This is an amazing sword but it does have a couple of very minor cosmetic flaws. It has a little almost unnoticeable mark on the scabbard and the real ray skin on the handle has a little flaw. Because of these minor cosmetic issues we will let this sword go for $149.99. Get it now before someone else beats you to it. The blade of this sword is made by hand with the old traditional folding technique. Then when this is done the forger crafts high carbon steel for the edge and it is then embedded in the blade body and is laminated together. This technique is called the Warhia Tetsu Method.. The Shinogi or spine of the blade is 45 HRC and the Yakiba or edge of the blade is 57 HRC. The blade went through eight processes to insure consistent hardness, sharpness and brightness. This blade has mirror polished so it has a bright and beautiful finished look to it. The blade is full tang and features a blood groove on each side of the blade.The handle is is hardwood has real Ray Skin and is wrapped with black cotton cord in the traditional Japanese style. The handle is securely held on with 2 Mekugi or wooden pegs.
