Vintage Washburn J6 Hollow Body (Jazz Box) Electric Guitar A rare and sought after jazz box hollow Washburn J6 guitar is very closely based on the 1955 Gibson L5 CES, as used by Wes Montgomery, the Washburn has the huge L5 Gibson tone and possibly with more overtones acoustically, even plugged in it has the sound of a great high end jazz box like the L5. We estimate this guitar to be late 80's, it has no serial number so we can't confirm it. My friend who I am selling it for has had it for almost 20 years and he doesn't play guitar so it's not been gigged or played much at all. It has dual humbuckers and a very easy action, strings will need replacing. No case unfortunately, but I will be sending this well packed via a courier. The list price for the J6 in late 1980's was $699 which would have equated to over 500 GBP. It has been kept in a smoke free house. The J6 has a Fantastic vivid reddish-brown coloured tobacco sunburst just like Montgomery's guitar.. The curly flamed eastern maple back and sides are mesmerising. Ebony fingerboard and Mother of Pearl inlays. This is my attempt at playing this guitar just so you can hear it working, just played through a Vox amp and my canon camera. Here is the same J6 model guitar played by someone who can really play :)Make: Washburn Model: J6 Color: Tobacco Sunburst Finish: High Gloss Body read more
