This is a lot of eight superbly bound Washington Irving books from the Sunnyside Edition (revised by the author) published by G.P. Putnam between 1849 and 1863. Included are the following volumes: "Wolfert's Roost" (1854), "Bracebridge" (1857), "Astoria" (1849), "Columbus" (Vols. I & II, 1860), "Mahomet" (Vol. I, 1849), and "The Life and Letters of Washington Irving" by Pierre Irving (Vols. II & IV, 1862 & 1863). All volumes are bound in tan, green and maroon calf with French marbled paper boards, endpapers and page blocks. Condition of the books is Near Fine Minus, as there is some faint wear on some of the extremities, but the bindings are very tight and square and there is no visible foxing on the pages. Extraordinary shelf presence - these positively gleam!
