Waterford Crystal Victorian Santa sculpture. A beautiful crystal sculpture, it was received as a present in 1996, and has hardly been out of its box since. Still with its original box and documentation which describes the sculpture as follows: VICTORIAN SANTA Christmas is the magic of a kindly old gentleman. We know him as Santa, but his origins stetch back over the years to the fourth centruy, to an actual bishp of the Church named Nicholas. Nicholas loved children and he loved to do good deeds in secret. From his legendary kindness grew the tradition of Santa. The exclusive Waterford Victorian Santa, the first is a series , brings to life once more the Santa of an earlier time. is the magic that never dies... the very spirit of Christmas itself personified in brilliant crystal. Santa of the lavish Victorian age... with gentle face, flowing bear, fur-trimmed robed and bell. Magically gatd into a single sparkling crystal sculpture, the love and generosity that represent the true meaning of Christmas. S&H is $10 to anyw in the USA. The statue itself is in perfect condition. The stickers on the base (UPC and the Waterford sticker) both show a little wear. The box is also in excellent shape, with a sticker from the Waterford Wedgewood Store, w I assume the piece was originally purchased.
