I just purchased a large service of Waterford cut crystal stemware in the popular Colleen pattern (short stem), introduced by Waterford in Ireland in 1968. This auction is for a SET of eight (8) fluted champagne glasses, measuring 6" in height. The pattern features intricate cuts and oval circles, has a faceted stem and a clear, uncut base. Each piece is signed with the older Gothic script acid etched Waterford logo and all of the stems are in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or mineral stains. The only noted wear is occasional mild surface wear on the bottom surfaces, as would be consistant with normal use. Waterford glasses are hand blown and cut and the size and weight vary slightly from stem to stem and also have an occasional air bubble. Replacements has these tems at $100 each. This beautiful SET of 8 fluted champagne stems would make a nice addition to any service of Waterford Colleen. I do have many other sizes up for auction this week.
