WATERMAN 56 FOUNTAIN PEN · Smooth Black Hard Rubber BHR · RARE MEDIUM FLEXIBLE BALL POINT 14k Gold NIB CIRCA MID 1920S A word about the Ball Point: In the 1920s it did not mean the same thing as it means today. It refers to the ball of iridium on the writing point of the nib w the nib meets the paper. A ball of iridium, a ball point, made it easier for anyone who had a problem grasping a pen to write. For example if someone had arthritis or some other problem holding a pen, this ball point was more forgiving than an ordinary writing tip. Overall this pen is in excellent or better condition with wear consistent with age and use. Read listing and view pictures for the specifics. Read before you bid.
