Waterman's 52 1/2 V ** BCHR (18kt Gold Filled) Ringtop ** Extra Fine/Extra FLEX Nib This listing is for a black chased hard rubber Waterman's ringtop with an 18kt gold filled lever/cap band and a very very nice, very flexible Ideal #2 nib. It is in perfect working order and works exceptionally well. It didn't take a lot to get it t I don't think this pen has been through very much. Still, the sac has been replaced and the nib/feed were removed and thoroughly cleaned. The filling system didn't have a single problem and seems to have stayed in fantastic shape all along. The gold filled lever is solid and responsive--it springs back readily and afterwards clicks beautifully into place.As far as condition, I would say this pen has held up gracefully. T's a very slight overall fade to the black color in the rubber and t are a few tiny scuffs on the barrel near the end of the lever. T's also a small scuff on the edge of the section near the nib. Other than those superficial areas, I can't really see anything that would jump out enough to mention. T is a small nook on the top of the gold band w the ring attaches to the cap, I think I will go ahead and say it might be a tiny bit of brassing--but it may actually just be stained. The gold filled parts are beautiful, and even in the case of the fading in the rubber, I can't imagine it being read more
