ALWYNNE BOWEN 1904 - 1987

Orchardart are pleased to be able to offer a stunning collection of paintings by the Modern British artist Alwynne Bowen

Bowen's art embodies the raw landscape and the wild emotions that are generated when faced with the elements. Her Impressionistic approach to painting generates a rich visual language. Her paintings and drawings are a unique record of moment and time and her work as been associated with her friend and contemporary Sir Kyffin Williams RA.

Alwynne Bowen was born in Wales and her love of the landscape is in direct response to the rugged beauty of the Welsh landscape. In the 1960s she moved to Warick and became a full time painter. She exhibited widely at many galleries including the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute of British painters and her work is in many public and private collections. All the work being offered are stunning examples of a true Modern British Artist.
