Original issue Japanese Movie Poster - NOT A COPY OR REPRINT Principle Stars : Sondra Locke. Date of issue: 1980 Condition : FINE No Tack Holes { see Grading Guide below for more detail }. Size : 20" by 29" [ rounded in inches as the actual B2 metric size is closer to 20.25" x 28.5" or 500mm x 707mm, that's about 50cm x 70cm]. Posters have been stored flat & are shipped rolled in custom made tube. These Movie Posters were issued by film companies in Japan for use in theatres and many were displayed. Posters graded Fine will usually have tack holes (unless noted no tack holes) or light folds with some general wear from original display which is normal. Posters graded EX or NM are above average examples, that appear to be unused with no tack holes or creased folds, may have slight wear from handling and storage. Shipping Notes : Multiple items can be combined and shipping is generally the same for one or several posters . Your shipping cost includes a new tube which I had custom made, specifically for size and strength. Insurance is not required but encouraged as we cannot be held responsible for any damaged or lost mail. Please consider insurance to protect you in the rare event of loss or damage. Foreign Orders Welcome. GRADING GUIDE : This will give you an overall idea of what to expect. Anything listed as EX or NM is a real treat in my opinion. FINE has been displayed in a Theatre and will nicely frame and display well. I will list more detail on a Poster's condition for things that do not fit the general conditions as described below. More noticeable problems such as tears, holes or marks that may affect display will be noted next to the grade given above. NM = Near Mint. May have only the slightest of wear or a minor defect visible upon closer inspection. An unused, rolled example with NO tack holes or folds that looks new. A rarely found gem. EX = Excellent. Misses being NM because it may have a more noticable blemish, such as slight crinkles or edge bumps (usually along the border, generally from handling or storage), no creased folds or tack holes, an above average, very nice poster that appears unused. FINE = Typical general wear for a Theater displayed Poster that may comprise of tack holes, normal folds or have a few minor tears under half an inch, which all are conditions found in this grade. A very pleasing Poster that will frame and display great. The majority I find tend to fit this grade. VG = Very Good. In addition to Fine, might have some fold seperation, larger tears or holes, tape repairs (usually on back) or more noticable spots or foxing. Still has a presentable image suitable for framing. Posters with this grade will have more specific details listed next to the grade given above. Photo Notes : Posters are challenging to photograph. Shiny or dark Posters are the most difficult as they tend to glare and the lighting can cause white, or hot spots when overexposed. It is also hard to get them to look straight sometimes in the photos. Posters are straight and look sharp viewed in person . The round black magnets visible in the corners are used to hold the Posters in place while photographing them. Additional Notes on Japanese Movie Posters : The vast majority of Japanese Movie Posters have very unique designs and striking graphics in comparison to one sheets from other Countries. It is not uncommon to find at least two different Poster designs for the same film and sometimes more. Issue dates for many Movies released in Japan can be much later when compared to other Countries as films are not always released the same year in all Countries. Generally, the earlier the film, it is not uncommon for the original Japanese release date to be several years later than it is elsewhere.
