A beautiful antique tea set by Wedgwood, typically English and perfect for afternoon tea. The gorgeous traditional pattern is called Dorothy and the shape is a forerunner of the Art Deco movement. The mark indicates it was made sometime from 1908, placing it around the Edwardian period. Because it is more than 100 years old, it has signs of use. As you can see on the photo of the stamp mark, there is some crazing on the bottom, but the camera exaggerates this. It is common with certain types of china and does not affect the use or beauty as it can only be seen on close examination. The set has 13 pieces: 4 Tea cups 4 Saucers 4 Tea plates Milk jug Starting the auction at a low price for this rare pattern from an excellent manufacturer.
