Wedgwood Black Basalt Bowl, large with three short legs. Classic Greek scenes completely around, laurel leaves all along rim. Based on separation of "Wedgwood" and "Made in England", in sans serif, the bowl would date as early as 1908 and possibly 1929. It is in very nice condition. Has not been cleaned other than a dusting. Some smudges but no scratches (except on bottom of legs, of course), no chips. Maker marks are all clearly visible. Height is 4 3/4 inches and weight is 4 3/4 pounds. Diameter at rim is 9 1/2", diameter at widest bowl point is 10 1/2". Thank you for looking at this fine item!
