WEISS SIGNED AURORA BOREALIS RHINESTONE NECKLACE & EARRINGS 1950'S Albert Weiss was in business from 1942-1971. Aurora Borealis rhinestones sometimes called rainbow stones were perfected in 1955 by Manfrerd Swrovski and are stones coated witha thin layer of metal to enhance brilliance and reflective color quality. These bautiful stones are set into a 14 inch necklace and matching earrings. There are 15 large stones about the size of a 9mm pearl and they are set in a cupcake prong setting that allows the light to enter the sides of the stones. There is one large stone on the end and the remaining prong set small stones secure with a J hook. The earrings measure 1 inch across and are signed WEISS in block letters on each earring. The signature on the necklace is WEI and the rest is covered on the J hook by a stine. The stones which at times seem crystal color reflect a delicate shade of pink . All stones are set in silvertone rhodium plated metal. There are no chipped or cracked stones and the metal has a brilliant finish. Remember this is a choker necklace for a smaller neck. The earliest weiss mark was block letters and indicates the 1950's according to research.
