This auction is for a Western Electric 139A cast iron shelf / bracket for Western Electric 3 slot coin phones.This item would have been used to secure a coin phone to a counter or other surfaces such as a desk . The bracket was bolted/screwed in place then the coin phone bolted to the bracket. Its in very good shape, no chips in the cast iron. T is a bit of normal wear on the outside corners and a scratch on the bottom front edge (see pix).Has 3 ribs on the back.I beleive its the original paint. The inside and back are fairly glossy with the exposed lower front edge being a flatter paint finish. The glossy areas are the surfaces that would have been covered by a coin phone, thus protected from wear. Even thought I'm a collector of old telephones this is the only one of these brackets I've ever seen, so my observations on the paint being original or not are just my opinion, I cannot state for a fact if this was ever repainted. But none the less, its a beautiful piece.As with every item I sell on Ebay, I offer a full 30 day return forrefund (less shipping) if you are not 100% happy with your item.
