This is the Western Electric Company 10-A Loud Speaking Telephone Outfit. It is designed to amplify the audio when connected to a vacuum tube radio receiving set. It consists of the type 7A amplifier using three 216-A vacuum tubes (included) and a No. 518W loud speaking receiver (horn speaker). The overall condition is excellent. The top panel of the amplifier is excellent with no missing parts. The amplifier is complete. The three 216-A vacuum tubes have good filaments and clear envelopes. The label is present on the bottom of the amplifier. The horn speaker coil measures good resistance. The horn receiver is nearly identical to the one used to distribute President Harding's speech during the Armistice Day exercises in 1921. The amplifier has two stages of amplification employing three tubes. One tube is for the first stage of amplification, the other two tubes are used for the second stage amplification in push-pull fashion. T are three transformers inside the amplifier and all windings measure good resistance. T is a schematic inside the box. Included is a photocopy of the instruction manual for the outfit (10 pages).
