Western Electric Model 5302 Transition Telephone Up for your consideration is this Western Electric model 5302 telephone. This is a completely restored, working, antique telephone, not a replica. In the early 1950's, as the Bell operating companies were switching over from the old reliable 302 to the modern 500 set, they found themselves with an abundance of leftover components. Their solution... design a housing that looked like the model 500 but used all of the components used on the 302. This telephone is sometimes referred to as the transition telephone. The plastic housing is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. It was carefully sanded to remove any scratches, and then buffed to a brilliant shine. The original F1 bakelite handset is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has a satiny smooth finish showing little wear. It was cleaned and sanitized and then buffed to a beautiful shine. It sends and receives conversations nice and clear with no noise or static at all. The original Western Electric coiled handset cord is in excellent condition. I have also installed a matching line cord with a modular end so it's ready to plug in and enjoy! This telephone was completely disassembled and every part meticulously cleaned, inspected, and tested for performance. This telephone also features a #6 dial. read more
