The model came from an estate w the collector never built a layout, and only displayed his rollingstock and locomotives. The locomotive is like new - we cannot discern wear. The model features Rapido Style couplers. The BL-2, considered the Ugly Duckling Series, was built by EMD for use as branchline switcher. The BL-2 set the sage for EMD to release their later SP series. The B-B truck locomotive was built from 1948-1949 and a total of 59 locomotives were built.
