Hi I have for sale a 1900s German mantel clock in very good condition for the age with Westminster chimes. The Case The case is in solid mahogany or oak not quite sure with brass ball feet and stands 14” high x 10.5” wide with a depth of 7” it is in very good original condition very shiny has had a lot of wax over the years very well looked after, with a thick bevelled convex glass front door housed in a thick brass bezel. The Dial The dial is in very good condition silvered, with the original black spade hands which are original to this very old clock. The Movement The movement is an eight day striking the quarters on four blue steel thick gongs the Westminster chime and full chime on the hour it sounds really mellow a great sounding clock and still retains the key and pendulum. The movement keeps spot on time over the eight days and is a very thick square plated affair of top quality she was serviced and oiled around 2 years ago. This is a massive and very heavy movement made in Germany by Junhans. Overall a very nice clock quite rare in this original condition that looks great on display keeping great time and looking even better. I will post UK.
