This lovely COVERED Round Footed TRINKET BOX was made by Westmoreland Glass in the gorgeous RUBY FLORAL pattern made between 1973 and 1983. The lovely pattern features a beautifully hand painted white rose with pink accents and white leaves. The footed trinket box, which is considered scarce , is made of solid ruby glass and is Westmoreland item number TB-1. It is made of vertically paneled glass on both the bowl and the lid. The floral design is shown on both sides of the lid. The interior lid is artist signed "K. Porter" and dated 1979. As you can see in the bottom photograph, I have a marvelous collection of this Ruby Floral that I will be listing on eBay this week. Please check my other auctions to see these pieces. TRADEMARKS/UNDERSTAMPS: The underside of the cover is artist signed and dated. Neither the lid nor the base is embossed with the Westmoreland superimposed "W" "G" trademark logo. This piece most likely contained a paper label at one time. MEASUREMENTS: To the tip of the finial knob, the trinket box sits about 4" high and measures 3 3/4" in diameter. The footed bowl sits 2 1/2" high. CONDITION: You will be delighted to learn this vintage ruby glass is in excellent condition. T are no chips, lines, cracks, paint loss, or repairs. Wait until you see it in person - it will make a fantastic addition to your collection or to give as a cherished gift.
