SUPER LOW STARTING PRICE ~ NO RESERVE! INCLUDING A COMPLETE SERVICE FOR 12 WITH SERVING EXTRAS! NO MONOGRAMS! This auction is for a wonderful set of sterling silver flatware that was made by the Westmoreland Silver Company, circa 1940. My research tells me that the Wallace Silversmiths actually made the set for Westmoreland. It is in the classic John and Priscilla pattern. The set comes with some original informational and care instructions and in a nice hinged, wooden box with a locking clasp -- however, I do not have the key! The box has a beveled design on the lid and blue tarnish resistant lining. The set has no monograms! The set is a nice service for twelve ~ it consists of 70 pieces as follows: 12 dinner knives with stainless blades ~ 9" long 12 teaspoons ~ 6" 12 dinner forks ~ 7 1/4" 12 salad forks ~ 6 1/2" 12 individual butter spreaders ~ 6 1/4" 6 tablespoons ~ 8 1/2" 1 sugar spoon ~ 6" 1 master butter knife ~ 7 3/8" 1 gravy ladle ~ 6 1/4" 1 relish fork ~ 5 1/2" The set is a truly lovely vintage set ~ and it has been kept beautifully over the years ~ bright, shiny and free from dents, dings, bends or pitting! On my postal scale, the set weighs 4 pounds, 10.1 ounces or 74.1 ounces ~ and that is without the dinner knives! The dinner knives were weighed separately and they weigh in at 1 pound, 11.8 ounces or read more
