This auction is for five water/wine goblets from the Weston/Louie Glass affiliated Company in Weston, West Virginia. The owner of Louie Glass ran the Weston company and was also involved with the West Virginia Specialty company. Glass pieces from these factories were often interchangeable as they could be made at one or the other under Louie's care. These are crystal clear stemmed goblets with a gray cut on the bowl............floral with leaves and vines and a cobalt foot. Goblets stand 6 3/4" high and hold 8 oz when full to brim. This color treatment was very common from all of these companies. The Weston companies factory was destroyed by fire in 1932 and production ceased. Weston Glass has been described as simple and elegant the pieces bear no mould seams and are ideal for cutting and decorating. Such is the case with these glasses from the elegant depress years. These glasses are attibuted to the Weston Glass Co. These five goblets are in excellent condition, not a flaw to be seen.........no nicks, chips, cracks or flea bites. I also have additional pieces listed in my other auctions. Sherbert/champagnes and iced teas. Gladly will combine shipping. I have read that these are rather hard to find.
