Offered for sale is a large, beautiful and heavy clear glass CENTERPIECE BOWL or fruit bowl with a tall pedestal and lovely beaded edge that resembles Imperial's Candlewick glass (but it isn't). It has a delicate wheel-cut or etched pattern (see picture 3) all around the bowl. I don't recognize the pattern and there's no maker's mark, but the beaded edge looks exactly like the edge on the Paden City "Gazebo" pattern from the 1930s. I suspect it's the same glass blank that was used in "Gazebo", but with a wheel-cut garland pattern instead of the usual etched design. It measures 10 inches (25.4cm) in diameter, and stands 5 inches (12.7cm) tall at the rim. It is in good used condition but not perfect. There is one glass bead missing from the edge (pictures 6 and 7) and a few very faint surface scratches are present. It is old, and there are a few small bubbles in the glass (normal for old and/or handmade glass). It is a high quality glass bowl, and quite heavy. Because of the damage to the edge, I am starting this with a low minimum bid. All my items are from a SMOKE FREE home. Be sure to check out the other fine glass and lead crystal that I have for sale this week! I pack all items in sturdy cartons with plenty of cushioning. My shipping time is a HIGH estimate -- I can usually ship faster than the estimated time. I am happy to combine read more
