Here is a nice cobalt blue cream and sugar set, a Wheelock import from Germany. The set is a souvenir of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The name is French for bottom (or foot) of the lake, named as such because of its location at the bottom (south end) of Lake Winnebago. Pictured on both pieces is the Carnegie Public Library, built with money donated by businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Both pieces are in good condition - no chips or cracks. There is a pin-head size white spot on the top of the left sugar bowl handle; I believe it is a tiny paint “bubble” which burst. You can see it in photo number 3. The pitcher is 3-1/2 inches high; the sugar bowl is 2-3/4 inches high. This set is an attractive and interesting addition to a collection. Please ask questions before bidding; the sale is final.
