You are bidding on an interesting and rare item. This official ORIGINAL White House picture (stamped accordingly) was taken the morning of November 25th 1963. It was taken by White House photographer Robert Knudsen of the Cabinet room and is stamped #30731 Nov 25 1963. Mr. Knudsen who was the Presidents photographer was to have accompanied Kennedy to Dallas but an accident at home prevented him from doing so. Knudsen took the autopsy pictures that have never surfaced that is of great interest to many people. Although I have been told that some renovation work was going on at that time-Kennedy had a state dinner scheduled for that day for the Chancellor of Germany. Knudsen took this and other pictures I have of the oval office and the outer executive offices and all these areas are clear of anything. Knudsen then gave these pictures to JB West head usher of the White House who in turn years later gave them to Sandy Fox. They were buried deep in a box in Mr. Fox's garage for years. There is some s damage to the top of the picture near the border from the back of another picture that stuck to it but does nothing to the picture itself. This item comes from the collection of Sanford L. Fox who was chief of protocol and head of the social office at the White House 1960-1975.
