Wide Bore Japanese Flute - Root end Bamboo. This is a long wide bore shakuhachi and gives a very mellow breathy tone. I believe it is a Tozan type mouthpiece.Artisan made in Japan and only used once or twice to get samples for new age type music. Its in very good condition,virtually unused. The bamboo itself has beautiful markings which you can see on the pictures. Really nice speckling and mottling effect and inside the bore of the flute it is black,look like lacquer or maybe urushi varnish. The flute is 25.5 inches long and I think the key is A The internal diameter near the mouthpiece is about 3cm wide. Making this a very wide bore. The Diameter of the whole root end is just over 6cm and internal diameter at the root end is 2cm.
