**WIDE** c1930 ANTIQUE 12K GOLD FILLED BANGLE-30GM This is a gorgeous Antique 12K Gold Filled bangle bracelet....that measures 5/8" wide and weighs approx 30 grams ! and in wonderful antique condition!! ..It has a push button clasp that locks with perfectly with a crisp snap! . This is SO RARE to find in this condition , size and weight ! I took the photos out in full sun and updated them again today, to give a true indication of the item, but the photos look a bit brassy in color and washed out.. but due to the HIGH SHINE.. this bangle picked up every reflection...even reflecting the white organza underneath.. but it is GORGEOUS in person This is a PLAIN bangle... with a smooth interior and exterior.. and I was informed these are known as "NELLIE STEWART BANGLES" ..very collectable indeed ! HISTORY It is Circa 1930 by design and styling and makers mark. It is stamped GF and is gold filled not stamped for gold content inside but the outer surface tests positive for a minimum of 12 karat gold , this is a 12 karat rolled gold bangle with a thin internal metal core to give it strength and rigidity. T is also the makers mark .. WEH WEH - WALTER E HAYWARD Co - ATTLEBORO MA Founded 1891 - 1900's Their items are becoming extremely rare and they were reknowned for their gold filled items and such craftsmanship and QUALITY DESCRIPTION & SIZING It is a beautiful antique gold color, that buttery hue unlike the brassy yellow gold of today.... ... and the patina is excellent as you would expect with quality antique jewelry. The entire interior and exterior are plain and smooth ....... .just a BREATHTAKING bangle with elegant styling.... ..and sparkles at every turn..! This is a MUST for the antique gold bangle collector . This piece is just so shiny ! This is a hinged bangle and it has a side push button locking clasp that locks superbly with a crisp snap....The hinge is tight and secure with no play... T are no dings or dents in this heirloom piece ... It also has a hidden extender piece for added security It is a larger bangle and the inside measures just over 7 " and would fit a wrist up to 7 " . It is also 5/8" in width... a substantial piece This weighs approx 30 grams, which further adds to its appeal ! This is in lovely antique condition considering its vast age.. and will be sure to please. These are becoming so hard to find these days. Please note that t are some dark shadows in the photos but this is simply reflection in the camera ..and the gorgeous antique rose gold color isnt showing up well in these pictures.it looks brassy, but please check my feedback so you may bid with confidence.. Due to its age it does have some very fine surface scratches but this is mentioned for accuracy only ..
