Wide Quarter Sawn Brown Oak Air dried on sticks for over a year. Top quality dark brown solid no rot in the board centre, the sap is long gone so to speak and there is the remains of the rot at the pith which is typical and usually trimmed out but for panelling the width may be better used than the clear cut, its not easy to get brown oak of this quality so wide. Very slow tight growth coming from a very ancient tree over 5 feet in diameter. Great ray pattern over the entire board. There is the remains of the pith rot at centre and i have highlighted this for you, Weight is 22kilos This time i have left the board sawn, i can plane it if you wish but due to the number of items there would be a delay of a few days getting it out to you. There is another matching board to this listed and i have pictured it stood alonside in case someone wanted to purchase the two and bookmatch for a top.
