Tested and guaranteed to be bakelite. The inside diameter is 2 9/16". It is almost 1" WIDE (7/8" to be exact)...other than a tiny rought spot on the INSIDE rim, which cannot be seen when worn, it is in SHINY, EXCELLENT condition...
