ITEM DESCRIPTION This auction is for a WW2 bayonet and scabbard for the M1 Garand and 1903 Springfield. This bayonet was manufactured by Wilde Tool and Drop Forge which, coincidentally, made the least of all WW2 era Garand and 1903 bayonets making this the rarest of all WW2 era bayonets by manufacturer. One side of the blade is stamped WT over U bomb S over 1943, and the crossguard is also stamped WT (see picture). The blade, crossguard and grips are all tight without any wiggle, t are no cracks in the grips, and the locking mechanism works great. The bayonet scabbard throat has some minor surface rust and pitting, however, it is still in overall good shape. What you see in the pictures is what you get.
