Invitation card with trimmed portion of envelope (addressed to D. Roberts Esq.) tipped-in. No date, circa 1860.. Includes explanatory note of provenance, dated November 14, 1864. Also includes engraved portrait of Thackeray measuring approximately 10 x 6.5. Some foxing, toning and dampstaining, with some minor loss at corners of portrait.
