Virtually brand new Williams by Bachmann Item #40399 Norfolk and Western N & W J Class 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive and Tender. I just purchased this for my sons on March 18th 2011, brand new . Other than a few trips around the track this is a brand new engine! I am relatively new to toy trains and I am learning as I go, so are my sons and they learned that MTH makes this engine with Proto Sound or in their words it "talks". So I purchased a used MTH version of this engine on Ebay. There is not a thing wrong with this engine, it runs perfectly, pulls loads well, operates on our Lionel Fastrack standard curves just fine. It smokes really well, lights up and the bell and whistle sound great!! It looks great and it is exactly what we wanted, it just didn't "talk". I have all orignal packaging too including outer brown cardboard box. It is a very nice, heavy engine but we just don't need two and I would like to recoup some of the money I spent on the MTH! New on Ebay Buy it Now prices for this engine ranges from $289.00 to $350.00 + shipping. This is a bargain I think, considering I just bought it brand new two weeks ago! Features: Die Cast Locomotive, Boiler and Frame; Powerful maintenace free motor, flywheel coasting action, steel rimmed drivers, operating smoke unit, constant voltage headlight, bell and steam whistle.
