Offered for sale is an original Ford Script AC pancake type GPW air cleaner. This air cleaner is correct for a very early GPW and they are almost always missing (I can count the times I've even SEEN a script specimen on one hand let alone finding one offered for sale!) This is an original take off part that is EXTREMELY hard to find! It would fit a MB or GPW Jeep, but is marked in script F, two different places, for a GPW. The air cleaner is complete with the original element intact and serviceable, the original oil pan, and the original screw. The sheet metal is bent and dinged, but has no rust, holds oil, and is complete. The thing is dirty! 60+ years in a jeep would do that to anything! I have included pictures of the air cleaner before and after I found the second F which is located on the unit body. Until that point, I was not 100% sure it was a complete GPW air cleaner unit...now t is no doubt, it's correct! At that point, I stopped cleaning to preserve intact samples the original primer and paint. The oil pan was cleaned and primed years ago, so the primer on it is "new". I always planned to clean it up for my early GPW (SN 1973) but just never got to it. I have had many requests for this part and have always denied offering it for sale. Now I know I'll never finish the GPW and no longer need the air cleaner. It's time for
