Born February 1881 in the City of York, Yorkshire, England Died 2 August 1936 and Buried at Startforth Hall, near Barnard Castle, North Yorkshire Minta Cookson studied with the renowned English artist William Boddy, well known for his watercolour illustrations of Churches and Cathedrals in the UK. She traveled extensively to Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, France and many other countries in Europe where she produced many of her watercolour studies and paintings. She was the granddaughter of Rev.
