Collector's Item - One of an Antique Collection by the ArtistThe present owner is a descendant of the Artist"Winchbridge Middleton Teesdale" Watercolour on Paperby Minta CooksonImages show the condition of the painting.There is a tear on the bottom edge.The top right corner is folded but is not too serious. Born February 1881 in the City of York, Yorkshire, England Died 2 August 1936 and Buried at Startforth Hall, near Barnard Castle, North Yorkshire Minta Cookson studied with the renowned English artist William Boddy, well known for his watercolour illustrations of Churches and Cathedrals in the UK. She traveled extensively to Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, France and many other countries in Europe where she produced many of her watercolour studies and paintings. She was the granddaughter of Rev. Charles Turner Cookson(born 31 July 1795 in Leeds, died 16 April 1881 in Maxey) of Maxey, North Hamptonshire, England (Vicar from 1850 to 1881) Father : Bryan Edward Cookson (23 December 1829 in Peterborough, Lincolnshire, died 31 July 1913 in Startforth Hall) Mother : Ellen Jane Foster (b 29 November 1843 in Hackney, Middlesex, died 13 April 1940 in Startforth Hall) Siblings : Bryan Cookson (grandfather to present owner of painting Bryan Alan Cookson),Nora Emily Cookson (great aunt to owner of painting) and Mary Constance Cookson (great
