The hand guard shows the typical Winchester rounded profile. The wood is walnut with a medium, brown-red color with an attractive & tight, even grain structure. T are a few scratches & minor dings. T are no cracks, splits or missing wood nor has it been sanded - its in original condition. The metal is also in original condition although the finish on the sides of the ferrule is fading to patina. T are no markings. Both the ferrule & spacer are intact and undamaged. This vintage WWII hand guard is a prime candidate to make your Winchester Garand correct & collectable. It is in excellent, serviceable condition and is ready to install.This item is allowed on eBay.
