You are bidding on an original limited edition fine art print by noted watercolor golf artist James Ellis. Shown here is the 9th hole, "Meadow" at The West Course at Winged Foot Golf Club. An old yardage book I have reads; Winged Foot, the mere mention immediately conjures up an image of authority, of a certain respect shared by golfers the world over. Playing Winged Foot for the first time evokes a sensation of grandeur and nobility. The Clubhouse and the courses have a history unlike any other. In this painting, composed at sunrise, I attempt to capture the sensations. Meadow, the 9th hole on the championship West Course awakens Winged Foot’s majesty. This is a giclee print on watercolor paper using archival inks and measures 13 x 19 inches. The print is hand signed and numbered by the artist, 84/300. Ellis' works are featured at many fine golf clubs around the world including Shinnecock Hills, Winged Foot, Garden City, Bethpage, Merion, Sea Island, The Country Club and many others.
