To view ALL listings: CLICK Adapted from a French porcelain dessert set made fro the United States president James K. Polk in 1846, this plate is an adaptation & called WINTERTHUR. Besides this information on the back of the plate, it also has a gold foil label marked: ANDREA BY SADEK MADE IN JAPAN. Vividly detailed pink flowers adorn the center which is surround by scrolling gold band, then wide green band and a rim of gold scrolls and band. Approximate dimentions: 7 1/2" across CONDITION -- EXCELLENT! It doesn't appear to have ever been used since the original label is on the back & it has some removeable felt protectors on the back. No signs of use. Color is vivid and intact. Gold shows little to no wear and is also intact. Nice piece to display or add to your dinnerware.
