Winton a Louisanna native has been working since he was twelve years old! The couple, Winton a former pig farmer, and Rosa a nurse, now both work full time as atrist's in their home gallery! This piece stands at eight inches in height (8). This item is in flawless museum quality condition, hand signed and dated on the bottom. One can distinguish the couples work by both their ornate handles and by the black faces, normally accompanied with some type of menial labor attire about them, this piece itself features an unusual design from the couple, which is of people dancing around the entirity of the item. Originally Winton would carve off clay on the pieces so as to lighten them up in preparation for the kiln, over time this carving progressed into these beautiful and carefully thought out faces, and other designs.
