Nice old souvenir Elks badge from Wisconsin 1905. The pinback reads B.P.O.E. The ribbon is purple with gold lettering and reads WISCONSIN STATE ASSOC'N B.P.O.E. FOURTH ANNUAL CONVENTION MADISON JUNE 13-14-15, 1905. The medal is in the shape of a building and has fine detail. The makers mark on the back reads THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J. The ribbon is sun faded but otherwise the badge is in overall nice condition, displays well. I will be disbursing a very large collection (400-500 pieces) of Elks souvenir badges, most from 1899-1910, in the next few weeks. Keep a close eye on my auctions.
