The Legendary Box Collection "Of Gods and Men" was produced by the artist, Alan Dickinson. He is well known in the field of legend, science fiction, and fantasy. The boxes he designed are incredibly detailed and each is hand made and hand painted. These boxes were sold by Collectible World Studios Ltd. and Gobel of North America. Trinket boxes are made to look like stone sculptures. They are beautifully detailed and come with literature that explains the myth and describes the artist.This beautiful 4 inch tall box shows Yggdrasil, The Cosmic Tree tree with The 3 Wise Women sitting beneath. These women decided the fate of all, even the gods. Odin is hanging from the tree in hopes of gaining Wisdom. Inside the box is the head of Minor, the source of all wisdom.This collectible depicts a scene from Norse mythology which was culturally important to the people of ancient Norway and Scandinavia. I purchased it to use in sand play therapy as a meaningful symbol. It was never removed from the box until I took pictures for this listing. It is in new, perfect condition.
