Wm. Rogers and Son Silverplate 1938 Ad. This black and white April 26, 1938 ad states And I thought this would be the happiest day of my life. Its too bad but every year so many brides are tearfully disappointed when they see all their brand new silverware together for the first time. Picture shows Bride crying. Also shows two ladies casting ballots for Rogers Pattern winners, the Gardenia and newly introduced Talisman. Magazine tear sheet picture is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 3/4 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
