Wollastonite from Sterling Hill Mine, near Franklin , NJ . This specimen was found in the Noble Pit area at Sterling Hill after some major excavation took place. It is clean with no weatd surfaces. This rock is a non-fluorescent calcite matrix, with wollastonite which fluoresces yellow under short wave UV light. Looks like a little coating of bright blue fluorescing hydrozincite, but most of the blue in the pictures is reflected UV light. T are many small grains of dark green non-fluorescent diopside throughout. Cabinet specimen, 4 inches x 3 x 2 3⁄4 inches, and weighs 1 pound 2 ounces. For auction with no reserve. Payment by PayPal preferred, check or money order accepted, priority mail shipping calculated by Ebay. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple items, it should never be more than $8.95 for a Priority Mail flat rate box. Pennsylvania residents must add 6% sales tax before shipping cost.
