This is truely a nice pair of 1940's WWII Era lace-up boots . I've listed them in the military section for my many WWII Reenactor friends. I can guarantee that this type was worn by the military and civilian women when the issued boots were worn out or unavailable overseas. Private purchase item. These belonged to a lady(I'll include her name) when she was in high school in Boone, NC from 1939 to 1942. I was told these were her favorite boots/shoes and were worn with "Jodps". The boots are in VERY NICE shape. Leather soles are great and the heels look new. They are so nice that I do believe that she must have had the heels replaced and then never wore them again. No laces but not difficult to find. I estimate them to be about a modern US 7- 7 1/2 but the approximate measurements are 10 1/4" X 3 1/2". 19 holed(each side)/ 13 1/4" Tall. I have seen these wrn by the Red Cross overseas and by civilians. I would definitely use them in "field impressions" with HBT's or other field trousers. Nice boots and Id'd to have belonged to the WWII era. Her fiance was in the Navy and they were married in 1946. Stay tuned for a great item from this couple! Please look at the photos and ask any questions. Good luck and have fun!
