This auction features a beautiful antique quilt top. It is all cottons, and there are 72 5 1/2" blocks that are early 1900's fabrics. I believe someone has pieced the blocks with the small pink print at a later date. The pink print goes very well with the blocks and it has been carefully and skillfully pieced. The old square in a square blocks have been hand pieced, and the pink has been machine pieced to them. There are wonderful old prints represented- shirtings, indigoes, double pinks, paisleys and much more. The best thing is they are all in excellent condition with no stains or weak spots- it could easily be quilted to make an heirloom quilt. It measures 73 x 84", is clean and ready to quilt or display.
