This Auction is for the most beautious Vintage Taxidermy Moose Leg Lamp you have EVER laid your eyes on! It is approximately 18 1/2 " tall (without counting the lamp thingy on top) and the wooden base is approximately 9" in diameter. Packed shipping weight is nearly 7 lbs. I purchased this unique and slightly eccentric bit of decor several years ago at an antique shop in Huntington, WV (GO HERD) and was so enthralled with it, I took it to work so I could enjoy it's wonder during the day - well, my boss didn't take kindly to my taste and so it was banished to my home. I had the feeling that no one could appreciate it's beauty more than myself... We moved to paradise almost a year and a half ago and share a house with my daughter, who definitely does not have my refined decorating taste as she has threatened me with a nursing home if I try to display my gorgeous lamp in our shared living area. It has now been in the top of a closet since we arrived and I cannot stand the thoughts of its uniqueness going unheralded any longer. It is time for it to find a new home w it will be displayed and appreciated! I had the lamp "guts" replaced a year and a half ago and it was working well before we moved. The lamp "guts" are loose and will be shipped that way but I'm sure the new owner will know how to tighten it all up again. The original brass decoration and plate are intact w the new lamp guts screw in. You can rest assured that t are either three other lamps closely resembling this one, a three legged corner table perhaps or a three legged moose (surely a carcass by now)out t somew and this is truly a one of kind item! Your friends will be amazed, your children awed and your associates envious if you are the lucky winner of this auction. Please note that a manicure is needed, t is no evidence of mange or hair loss so commonly found in elderly moose parts and all stitching is intact and very neatly done. As a bonus, I am throwing in the toe jam (dust) at absolutely no charge!
