For your consideration, a stunning wood carved Tang horse with magnificient brass mounts with detailed, intricate engraving on them. The mane of the horse and the horse ears are all made of brass as well. It is old so the horse shows worn spots where the stain has worn away, but there are no real chips, cracks, or breaks in the piece at all. However, its tail was missing so I fashioned an alternate tail from a wood branch stained in dark walnut, and I inserted it in the hole opening where the original tail had gone. I did not glue it or anything so the tail can be removed or switched for a more desirable shape as you please. The brass has a great old patina finish on it indicating an early piece that is old. It is a very stately piece, and very elegant to look at and enjoy. It measures 10 1/4 inches tall to the top of the ears and 10 inches long from the back of the tail to the tip of its muzzle. It is about 2 1/4 inches thick and weighs almost a pound and a half. It has an impressive presence about it that is appealing to have!
